Human rights and art

Y el cine marcha. Una historia del cine al servicio de los derechos humanos

Y el cine marcha. The story of human rights cinema commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and takes a trip through the history of cinema and Amnesty International. Using outstan-ding scenes from films throughout the whole history of cinema, this documentary explains the role of the seventh art in the fight for Human Rights, whilst also demonstrating how this issue has been tackled differently on the big screen over the years. In parallel, it tells the story of Amnesty International since it was founded in 1961. Directed by Manuel Huerga –Antártida (1995), Salvador (Puig Antich) (2006)– and narrated by Antonio Banderas.
