Right to universal public health

The United States health care system stands 37th in the world in terms of quality, behind Colombia and Portugal, according to the 2000 Report drawn up by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

In the richest country on Earth there are 50 million people that do not have any type of medical cover. However, the 250 million Americans who can pay for medical insurance (around 2000 dollars a year) are not safe either, as insurance companies often take advantage of them and all the bureaucracy involved to refuse them the cover they need. Furthermore, using the private health system, without medical insurance cover, is 100 times more expensive.

American citizens have spent years crying out for a free universal health system which already exists in countries such as France, Canada, United Kingdom, Cuba, Spain, etc.
