Artexivu consists of a group of people who make art from different cultures with the goal of awakening sleeping minds using music and dance while preserving and disseminating their culture. Its members are people who treat the art of creation with respect and passion, who impose no limits whatsoever upon themselves for its communication. Artevixu takes its origins from Xivuchana and means AWAKENING in the original Changana language spoken in the province of Gaza in Southern Mozambique.
