CHILDHOOD AND YOUTH: “MORE PROTECTION, LESS VIOLENCE”

Opening night

Fifty Dead Men Walking

In a country of baseball, two brothers try to get out of the most dangerous place in the world... by kicking. Daniel is an exceptional striker. Julio is the team’s captain, a born leader. They were raised as brothers and play football in their slum, La Ceniza. Daniel dreams of playing professional football, while Julio feeds the family with dirty money: he has no time to dream. The opportunity of their lives arrives when a football scout invites them to tryout with one the city’s most famous team: Caracas F.C. But tragedy strikes. They must decide, kicking and on a dirt pitch, what is more important: keeping the family together, the taste of revenge, or the dream of their lives. Film produced with the collaboration of UNICEF.
