State of violence

LATENT VIOLENCE

State of violence

Bobedi, 35, has just been promoted to the position of executive director with an important mining company in Johannesburg. He decides to celebrate it with his friends and his wife, Joy. Returning home, the couple is attacked in their own home and Joy is shot by an intruder who seems to know them. Shattered, Bobedi, who had lived a violent life before turning to business, decides that his only option is revenge. Enlisting his brother’s help, he sets out to track down the killer. Throwing himself into the task body and soul, he finds that his past is once again raising its ugly head in his life. The secret he had kept under wraps for so long starts floating back up to the surface. Khalo Matabane tells the tale of a man who, in a country marked by violence, had to choose between his ideas and his family.
