San Telmo Museum. April 24-26
As part of its priority actions to prompt actions condemning the repression and persecution of Iranian filmmakers, Amnesty International joins hands with the Human Rights Film Festival to propose this exercise addressing the human right to freedom of expression through art.
A work of shared reflection with the public lasting for the three days of this workshop, open to all. Based on Isaki Lacuesta’s documentary Alpha and Again and The Gray Wall series made in Beijing by the plastic artist from San Sebastian, Juan Aizpitarte, the workshop will give participants a closer look at different realities in the world, particularly focussing on the situation of the Iranian filmmakers. The Festival programme will therefore include the movie by Jafar Panahi and Mojtaba Mirtahmasb, This Is Not a Film.
To complete the workshop, talks will be given by Itziar Ruiz-Jiménez Arrieta, Professor of International Relations at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and member of Amnesty International for 20 years, and by Abbas Bakhtiari, director of the Centre Culturel Pouya at Paris.
