From the tent built up in the commune of La Reina, Violeta Parra is visited by her dreams, experiences and aspirations. She is alive, but perhaps she’s dead; this paves the way for great expectation where the spectator gradually discovers her secrets, fears, frustrations and joys. Not only do we see her multiple work, but also that of her lovers, her memories, her hopes; her achievements are suspended in a passionate journey through the life of Violeta Parra, with the characters who made her laugh, dream and cry.
A look at the life of the iconic Chilean singer brought to us by Andrés Wood, director of films like Football Stories (1997), Machuca (2004) and The Good Life (2008).
