“The Etxe Kaleratzeak – Stop Desahucios (Stop Eviction) Gipuzkoa group proposes this workshop as an activity to be included in the Human Rights Film Festival, where it will demonstrate the power of photography as a tool in the struggle for the right to a home; a basic right that is violated every day in the Basque Country, in Spain and in another places all around the world”.

This theoretical-practical workshop, given by Oriana Eliçabe, member of the Enmedio collective, aims to share knowledge and practices in TOOLKIT mode. The workshop will look at photography and its use as a communication tool that goes beyond the image itself to conceive photography and space as a whole that appeals to people; as a way of collectively intervening in social issues.

ONE-MINUTE VIDEO WORKSHOP “MY GENERATION”

The Ganora Filmak association also brings the One-minute Video Editing Workshop, entitled My Generation, to be given by the Egyptian documentary-maker Amal Ramsis at the 11th Human Rights Film Festival. The workshop will take place from April 15th-18th 2013 at the Centre for Women and will run for 20 hours split into four 5-hour sessions. It is free of charge.

Aimed at women from any part of the world, at non-professionals females in the audiovisual field, no matter what their age, profession and country (although they should preferably be over-18), the workshop consists of practical exercises focussed on making a video to help women learn the basis of audiovisual production, so that they can apply what they have learned to create twenty 1-minute shorts on this year’s subject, My Generation. The workshop is part of the Entre Cineastas initiative developed by the Egyptian production company Kláketa Arabe, with the backing of Drac Magic.
