Grace is a supervisor at a foster care facility for at-risk teenagers. She loves her job and is a formidable caretaker of the kids in her charge, even if she sometimes has to struggle with her own difficult past. The arrival of a new girl at the facility, Jayden, forces Grace to realise that she can no longer turn her back on the problems she has been carrying around with her since childhood. The delicate balance between her private and working wife is threatened, and Grace will have to find a way to overcome the crisis pushing her to the edge, a situation that will also help her to discover sparks of humour and hope in unexpected places.
