GM crops: commercial interests at the cost of public health?

France. Direction: Jean-Paul Jaud. Production: Béatrice Jaud, Lucile Moura / J+B Séquences. Screenplay: Jean-Paul Jaud. Photography: Cyril Thépenier. Edition: Vincent Delorme. Narration: Philippe Torreton. Running time: 118 min

LANGUAGE: French, Japanese / SUBTITLES: Spanish

Between 2009 and 2011, in absolute secrecy, Professor Gilles-Eric Séralini carried out a complete study of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and pesticides on laboratory rats at CRIIGEN (Comité de Recherche et d'Information Indépendantes sur le Génie Génétique). On the other hand, world concern with nuclear energy has strongly reappeared on the scene since the Fukushima disaster.

GMOs and nuclear energy: man uses these technologies without performing in-depth health and environmental tests. The consequences may be irreversible. All of us guinea pigs now?

TALK: Jean-Paul Jaud (director), Tom Kucharz (Ecologistas en Acción), Rosa Binimelis (doctor in Enviromental Sciences – Ecological Economy)
