This morning, April 16, the festivals that are taking part at the Human Rights Film Network European Forum, that is running during April 15th and 17th at San Telmo Museum, as part of the 14th San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival, have presented a declaration.

The Danish movie Land of Mine (2015), directed by Martin Zandvliet, will open on April 15th, at the Victoria Eugenia Theater, the 14th San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival. The French film Fatima (2015), directed by Philippe Faucon, will close it.

For years, the Human Rights Film Festival of San Sebastian has been in partnership with of the Human Rights Film Network (HRFN), an international network of human rights film festivals. Consisting of 38 active member festivals across every continent, the HRFN exchanges ideas on how to promote human rights films through festivals, broadcasting and educational programmes.

The 14th Human Rights Film Festival of San Sebastián will kick off on 15 April at the Victoria Eugenia Theater with the Danish film Land of Mine (2015), directed by Martin Zandvliet. The festival is organized by the Office of Human Rights of the city of San Sebastián in conjunction with Donostia Kultura.

The Youth International Meeting on Cinema and Human Rights will take place from 15th to 22nd of April, within the framework of the San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival and as part of the programme of San Sebastian 2016 European Capital of Culture.

The submission of feature films and short films for the 14th Human Rights Film Festival (April 15-22) is open from today, December 1, and until February 1.

The film Bring the Sun Home (Italy, 2013), directed by Chiara Andrich and Giovanni Pellegrini, has been awarded with the Audience Prize to the Best Feature Film at the 13th San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival, that ends tonight.
