Renewing tradition

In Mongolia, like in the rest of the world, habits, customs and traditions assign different roles to men and women. Generally, men go about activities where people can see them, receiving recognition from the whole community. Women, on the other hand, tend to work at home, behind the scenes, with little acknowledgement.

This said, history is full of women who have courageously bucked the predominant habits and customs, following paths once forbidden to them.

Thanks to the struggles and vindications of many women, today society is a little more egalitarian and just.
