Every year, the elves bring a new spring. This is Tim’s first time. Side-tracked by the enticing sounds of the fair, he gets separated from the other elves and is captured by evil Samuel and Vlad, to be exploited as a circus show. A six-year-old girl named Teresa finds him there and is quite taken. In turn, Tim sees her as his chance for escape. After running away, he hides out in Teresa’s house. Under her protection, they have several different adventures and become steadfast friends.

Courgette is a strange name for a 9-year-old boy, even if his story is surprisingly universal.
