Alicia is one year old when she’s sent to live with a foster family. When she’s five, she’s moved to an orphanage. At nine she is still waiting to be adopted. This documentary follows Alicia over the course of three years. As she grows up, the camera is a direct witness to her desires and frustrations, to her complete helplessness in a situation she has no control over. What future awaits her? Maasja Ooms tries to answer this and many other questions in a film with a universal theme: the need for love.
TALK: Xabier Euzkitze (foster father), Patxi Agiriano (Children and Young Persons Protection Department from the Gipuzkoa Government), Aitziber García (foster girl from Arrakasta program)
