During a student party, Mariam, a young Tunisian woman, crosses paths with Youssef. A few hours later, Mariam wanders down the street in shock. A long night begins for her in which she'll have to fight for her rights and her dignity. But how can justice be served when it is on the side of the executioner?

After her 2014 film Le Challat de Tunis, Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania presents her second feature film in nine chapters, each consisting of a single sequence shot. The story is based on real events that shook Tunisian society in 2012.
