In Sweden everyone has an opinion of the feminist pioneer Gudrun Schyman: some see her as a superheroine, others as a villain. But the majority agree that she is one of the most influential politicians of recent decades.
Schyman has suffered a number of ups and downs in her career: coming from a working family and with an alcoholic father, she started out as a social worker and went as far as to head the Left-Wing Party (Vänsterpartiet), landing it the best results in its history. In 2005 she founded the Feminist Initiative party (Femenistiskt Initiativ), from where she continues working to try and improve standards of equality in her country.
TALK: Lidia Falcón (lawyer, writer, journalist and founder of the Spanish Feminist Party), Arantza Campos (Plazandreok, UPV/EHU teacher and journalist)
