Professor of Public International Law at the University of the Basque Country and President of the AIODH (International Association for the Observation of Human Rights). Director of the Human Rights Courses in San Sebastian since 1997 and of the Courses on International Law and International Relations in Vitoria-Gasteiz since 2012. In his more than 30 years at the university he has mainly dedicated his research to analysing the Western Sahara conflict and related legal questions, having published dozens of articles and two monographic works on the subject. He belongs to the team providing legal advice to Polisario Front.
