The film The Story of Souleymane (France, 2024), directed by Boris Lojkine, claimed the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the 22nd San Sebastian Human Rights Film Festival, which draws to a close tonight at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre.

Tratado de invisibilidad (México, 2024), by Luciana Kaplan, received the Amnesty International Award for Best Feature Film, bestowed since 2010 by a jury appointed by the organisation.

Black Scarf (Iran, 2024), by Ali Reza Shah Hosseini, won the Youth Jury Award for Best Short Film, and a cheque for €3,000, while 16060 egun (2024), by Iñaki Alforja and Iban Toledo, received the EITB Award for Best Basque Short Film (€1,000), handed out for the first time this year.

The awards will be presented at the Closing Ceremony at 8:00 p.m. this evening. There will then follow a screening of the film chosen to bring down the curtain on this year's festival, Good One (USA, 2024), directed by India Donaldson.

Over the past eight days, shorts and feature films have been screened, a range of debates, roundtables and other activities staged, along with three exhibitions, which remain open.
