Bonkers
Bonnie, aged nine, lives with her mother Lis and her grandmother. The three share a strong passion for elephants, inherited from an ancestor who worked on a reserve in Africa. Lis is a gentle but unusual mother who swings between happy and lively and dark and negative. Fortunately, her grandmother is always there to care for them until she suffers a fateful accident which will change all their lives. From then on, Bonnie must start to take responsibility for the house and her mother. Intending to give her daughter a surprise, Lis comes home one day with a new and peculiar pet: an elephant!
