This documentary deals with youth, migration and identity through the experiences of second-generation youngsters who were born or grew up in Gipuzkoa, in families who had arrived from other countries. The documentary draws on their accounts to paint an intimate portrait of cultural diversity, clashes between traditions, the effort to better oneself, and ties to the host country.
Its protagonists include Omaimaael Youssfi and Imane Chacha, young Muslim women of Moroccan origin who were raised in San Sebastian; Daniela Bustos from Colombia, who arrived in Gipuzkoa as a young girl; Marta Lopes and her family, marked by emigration from Cape Verde in the 1980s; Juan Dorje, the son of a Tibetan immigrant, whose studies have taken him all the way to a doctorate in naval engineering; and Lourdes Lagos Velásquez, a young student linked to the world of fashion, music and support for other youngsters.
