The title of the exhibition, meeting To Tell My Story, comes from a poem by the Palestinian writer Refaat Alareer: to tell a story of the everyday life of Palestinians, beyond the horrific images typically presented to the world. And to do so through family photographs that they themselves have deposited at the museum over time, offering a direct and straightforward glimpse into their own story.

That is the aim of the project, for which a hundred and twenty-two photographs have been selected from the Palestinian Museum Digital Archive (PMDA), from among its huge collection of almost twenty thousand images. An archive patiently assembled to preserve the oppressed memory of the Palestinian people: the destruction not only affects lives, buildings and infrastructure, but also the documentation bearing witness to their very existence.
