Rights of childhood

Any child, independently of where they are born and grow up, has the right to the education, care and protection which they deserve due to their particular vulnerability. Despite different international legal instruments set up to protect them, millions of children today are still victims of violations of human rights in general and children’s rights in particular.

Armed conflicts, child labour, physical abuse, sexual exploitation… are just some of the threats which they face everyday all over the world. Countries and society itself are responsible for guaranteeing that children’s rights are respected, wherever they live, and looking after their interests.
