Ending international terrorism is a target which has been set by many Governments since the September 11th attacks, now almost 8 years ago, left thousands dead in the United States. This “war against terror” has, however, generated a less secure world, where many rights and freedoms have been affected.
The reality is that the efforts to fight terrorist violence have not prevented instability on a worldwide scale, wars or conflicts within a country. For that reason, citizens continue to demand a safer and fairer world for present and future generations.
