Human rights and art

Sixty years after approving the Universal Declaration, human rights continue to be an unfulfilled promise. Proof of this is that injustice, inequality and impunity continue to inhibit people’s freedom and dignity.

Throughout its history, art in general and cinema in particular has reflected the demands, concerns and changes in society and reported injustice. Its importance has been and continues to be vital when claiming and promoting the progress of human rights.
