Fifty Dead Men Walking

Axun, aged 70, goes to the hospital to take care of her daughter’s ex-husband. She can’t believe her eyes when she discovers that the woman looking after the man in the next bed is Maite, her best friend as a teenager. It’s not long before they realise that the chemistry of their friendship remains unchanged; they get on just as well as they had done 50 years earlier. The two women have fun, enjoying their new meeting, until Axun discovers that Maite is a lesbian. Axun struggles with her feelings. Which should she follow? Her heart or her head?

New film from the makers of Lucio (2007), and of shorts like Asämara (2008), On the Line (2008) or FGM (2008), screened at previous editions of the Festival.
