POLYTECHNIQUE

Student victims of school massacres

Polytechnique

A horrifying film, based on testimonies by some of the survivors, narrating the dramatic events of 6 December 1989, at the École Polytechnique in Montreal, when a youngster armed with a rifle killed 14 women before committing suicide. The film, conceived as a tribute to the victims, and dedicated to their memory, tells not only of the events, but of their physical and psychological consequences on the lives of many of those who didn’t die that day.

Third feature directed y the Canadian Denis Villeneuve, maker of the short Next Floor (2008), winner of an award at Cannes and at the San Sebastian Horror and Fantasy Film Festival.
