FEMINICIDE: THE CIUDAD JUÁREZ CRIMES

backyard

Blanca Bravo is an idealistic policewoman newly arrived in Ciudad Juárez, where she finds herself overwhelmed by the local wave of murdered women, mostly young girls working at the factory. Determined to get to the bottom of the crimes, Blanca discovers a corrupt society where most people would rather keep their eyes shut to what’s going on around them.

Juanita Sánchez, 17, has come from Tabasco to work in the factory. Three months down the line, she’s enjoying her new-found freedom. But one fatal dawn in the desert chance and circumstances in Juárez lead the fates of Juanita and Blanca to intersect.
